Belgian transpersonal psychotherapist Michel Claeys has been in Beijing (P.R. China) since 2000, working as a counselor, lecturing and offering trainings in Chinese universities. With over 20 years of professional experience, relying on a wide exposure to various innovative approaches in personal development, group work, counseling and psychotherapy, his work offers a personal blend of approaches in humanistic and transpersonal psychology. He published several books:
- ‘The Emotional Intelligence Class - Relationship and Communication Skills that Work’, published in French and Chinese.
- 'Counseling from the Heart - The Transpersonal Paradigm in Psychotherapy’, published in French and Chinese.
- 'The Dream Call - a Guide to Dream Interpretation and Dream Therapy', published in Chinese.
English and other foreign rights are still available on all three titles.
Michel Claeys's wife and partner, Ni Nan Qi, was born in 1978 (Anhui province, China) and graduated in educational psychology (Masters degree in 2003, Beishida, Beijing). She is dean of the counseling center in BICT (Beijing Fuzhuang Xueyuan) and teaches psychology. She has been assisting Michel Claeys in most of his workshops and trainings since early 2005, playing an increasingly active role in delivering the trainings.

I read over the material that you had given us before we began the course and found many of the answers to the questions I had during the course. The information is very well presented and I found it very useful to review that information after the course was completed.
In fact, I really liked your style of teaching. When you gave out a piece of paper and asked everyone to write everything they knew about what we had just been exploring, I found this incredibly effective. Having to think for yourself rather than listen is far more rewarding in the long run.
